The blend of the 2012 Glenwood Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot.

Winemaker Brian Nuss went out of his way to find the very best varietals used to blend the Glenwood Cellars Cabernet. These varietals are sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley including ones located in Rutherford, Oak Knoll, Calistoga and Mount Veeder. The wines are aged in oak barrels prior to the blending process which is completed by Carl Tiedemann and Brian Nuss. After blending and tasting, the wine is mixed in stainless steel tanks and then stored back in oak barrels until it is bottled.

Vintner Carl Tiedemann’s Tasting Notes

The grapes for the 2012 Glenwood Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon were sources from different appellations around the Napa Valley. Again with this vintage, winemaker Brian Nuss and I strived to blend a wine that is approachable out of the bottle yet offers you the complexity and depth of a decanted wine...a wine with good aromas, smooth across the palate and a memorable finish. Please enjoy our 2012 Glenwood Cellars Cabernet.
